LOGISTICS & DISTRIBUTION

A s e-commerce continues to boom, last-mile delivery has become a critical differentiator for logistics providers.

J & T Express, a leading logistics company with significant operations across Southeast Asia and China, has positioned itself at the forefront of innovation in this crucial segment.
Clearly, operational challenges in last-mile delivery vary significantly depending on market maturity. For J & T Express, which operates across diverse geographical regions, this presents both obstacles and opportunities.
“ In countries with robust logistics infrastructure, optimising processes and enhancing efficiency to reduce per-parcel costs and maximise customer value is a key priority for us,” explains Group Vice President Charles Hou.“ Meeting the growing demand for personalised delivery is another priority. In specific use cases, we offer drone and autonomous vehicle delivery services.”
The situation differs markedly in emerging markets, where J & T faces more fundamental infrastructure challenges.
“ In emerging markets, we encountered challenges like imprecise addressing, complex cash management for COD and operational inconsistencies that can lead to mis-sorted or lost packages,” Charles reveals.
To overcome these challenges, J & T has developed market-specific solutions leveraging advanced technologies.
