EY : Helping clients leverage blockchain

Paul shares how EY is helping clients leverage blockchain to enhance their operations . “ We ’ ve done hundreds of supply chain projects in the blockchain space . The most common projects are around traceability services that can run without blockchain privacy . “ We ’ ve worked with Canadian Blood Services for tracking blood donations , with Carrefour around food traceability , with Birra Peroni for tracking the origin of organic beer ingredients and many more . We have very consistent feedback that traceability programmes improve customer engagement . “ Our flagship for smart contract automation is with Microsoft , which uses EY ’ s OpsChain Contract Manager for the Xbox video game network . This has cut the cycle time required to calculate monthly partner balances on more than 3,000 different business agreements from 45 days to 4-5 minutes .
“ I ’ m very excited about moving from traceability to full inventory and asset management as we start to see adoption of our privacy-enabled tokenisation services . I also look forward to working with business partners like PayPal , SAP and Coinbase to integrate payments into the overall network and solution . They are separately rolling out B2B payment services using blockchain-based payment tokens and EY was the first company to sign on .”
