Gen AI ‘ a S2P disruptor ’, says Deloitte
Generative AI has been dubbed “ the next disruptor ” for source to pay ( S2P ) solutions by Deloitte , who says it is set to transform the future of sourcing and procurement operations .
In a survey , Deloitte found that 70 % of CPOs are seeing a rise in disruption over the past 12 months , because risk evaluation tools are needed for predictive and preventative measures .
In the report , Deloitte highlights Walmart ’ s recent pilot of an AI-based tool known as Pactum for autonomous negotiations with suppliers .
“ While Walmart finds it helpful for landing a good bargain , three out of four suppliers prefer negotiating with AI over a human ,” a Deloitte spokesperson said . “ This strongly indicates that the ecosystem is ready to embrace this disruption .” technology to innovate their business processes and also scale generative AI effectively .
The focus of the project is to help clients implement and then scale the Azure Open AI service .
Azure OpenAI Service runs on the Azure global infrastructure to meet organisations ’ production needs , including enterprise security , compliance , and regional capacity . The S2P solution combines Microsoft Power Platform and Azure OpenAI Service to help automate repetitive , manual and fragmented sourcing and procurement processes . The technology also offers supply chain insights .
