One such success story is Heineken Europe , which recently completed the transformation of its supply chain across the region . In this issue we hear from Thibaut Boidin , who headed up the project . The work of Boidin and his team has produced remarkable results . On sustainability , it has cut carbon emissions in production by 24 % compared to 2018 levels . It is now also using 52 % fewer unique bottles , and it has also halved the amount of secondary packaging it uses . Perhaps most significantly , the company has gone from having 25 supply and operations planning teams to just one .
