EXECUTIVE BIO
Roger joined DE & S ( Defence Equipment and Support ) as the Project Lead for Inventory Management Transition , in January of 2013 , before assuming the Directorship of the new Inventory Management Operating Centre ( IMOC ) in December of the same year . He saw through the delivery of the LCST ( Logistics Commodities Services Transformation ) programme to award in Summer 2015 and became the Director of the Logistics Delivery Operating Centre as some 1400 MOD staff together with warehousing , transportation and commodity procurement moved to Team Leidos . In 2021 he merged his organisation with the Support Directorate becoming Director Logistics and Support and has expanded his transformation focus to include how we can deliver better logistics and equipment support to our customers across defence and provided a key distribution service to the NHS ( NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE ) during the COVID pandemic response . He joined the organisation with a diverse background in procurement and supply chain management gained in a wide range of public and private sector organisations . He has worked with IBM ( International Business Machines ), ASDA , Coopers & Lybrand , Capgemini and DHL . Roger lives in Yorkshire with his wife Rebecca and has 4 adult daughters . In his spare time he enjoys messing about with all things mechanical , thinking about sailing , and walking .
