With DHL since 2009 , Retief brings extensive experience across global markets in finance , transportation and operations , having previously led operations in Southeast Asia . His focus will be on developing customer-centric strategies , supporting 23 key markets and enhancing offerings for small and mediumsized enterprises ( SMEs ). Andries views growing consumer demand , urbanisation and sectoral growth as key opportunities in the EMEA region . His immediate priority is addressing the upcoming peak season by ensuring scalable capacity through DHL ’ s vast network of warehouses and transportation services .
