SUPPLY CHAIN TECHNOLOGY
BOOSTING SUPPLY CHAIN CAPACITY IN THE US
PUMA recently boosted supply chain capacity in the US by deepening its collaboration with storage technology leader AutoStore and logistics integrator Bastian Solutions.
The move included equipping a newlylaunched distribution centre in Phoenix, Arizona, with cutting-edge automated storage and retrieval systems- designed to meet growing demand and optimise fulfilment processes. PUMA’ s Phoenix facility is anticipated to double order fulfilment capacity from 100,000 to 200,000. Achieving this target requires advanced systems that enhance speed, accuracy and efficiency across operations, from manufacturing through to last-mile delivery.
AutoStore is known for its modular, cube-based storage technology. The system leverages automated robots and intelligent software to optimise storage density and retrieval processes. PUMA has relied on AutoStore solutions since 2015, deploying them at its distribution centres in Indiana and California.
Meanwhile, Bastian Solutions has established itself as a trusted leader in automated logistics. It serves as the integrator linking PUMA’ s logistics network with AutoStore’ s technology, ensuring seamless implementation and operational cohesion. With retail e-commerce sales expected to surpass US $ 8tn globally by 2027, supply chains must adopt agile and optimised systems to meet demand. PUMA’ s investment in technology and infrastructure underscores its commitment to meeting the dynamic demands of global retail while reinforcing its position as a leader in supply chain innovation.

power, reusable assets and EV charging infrastructure. The same design discipline that shortens lead times helps shrink the footprint of each order, aligning commercial and environmental goals without bolting on green initiatives after the fact.
Karthik adds:“ Working with Accenture to design a mature, analyticspowered future ready supply chain and distribution network will allow us the flexibility to adapt and scale our operations as per the evolving needs of our huge customer base across tiers.”
A decisive edge PUMA India’ s collaboration with Accenture shows how a brand built on the premise of speed can integrate a similar level of speed into its supply chain operations. By fusing digital twin technology with disciplined analytics, the sportswear giant is redesigning its distribution model to deliver faster, lower-cost, lower-carbon outcomes across both online and offline channels.
Most importantly, the solution gives PUMA India the flexibility to adapt as consumer expectations evolve. In a market where choice is abundant and patience is scarce, this edge could prove decisive. supplychaindigital. com 205
