the company has used those physical logistics assets and swell of knowledge to diversify its services . Storage of company records , artwork , furniture and other workplace goods , as well as the movement of those items , has become a key part of our broader offering . We ’ ve also moved into the sphere of consultancy , sharing our expertise around employee relocations and workplace change . So , over the years , I ’ ve gained exposure to wider aspects of the supply chain .
Q . WHAT DOES YOUR ROLE ENTAIL ?

» My role is broad . But , in all aspects , I ’ m looking for success . I ’ d be lying if I were to say success didn ’ t – in large part – centre around financial performance , because financial success means we can invest more in our people , in innovation , in being more sustainable and in growth . But success , of course , now goes well beyond profits . It ’ s measured in the engagement , diversity and wellbeing of our team , the impact we have on the environment and the quality and simplicity we deliver for clients and customers in a world that ’ s complex and ever-changing .

My days are spent ensuring that we ’ re performing in all of these areas . That means working closely with our country leaders , our HR teams , our sustainability teams , our marketers and our finance people , uniting them behind common goals , creating the right environment to succeed and then ascertaining whether we ’ re delivering against those goals .
Q . HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR LEADERSHIP STYLE ?

» In several different ways . The first is ‘ human-centric ’, which means drawing on lived experience , walking the walk and understanding and living the challenges of both employees and customers – but also listening . I spend as much time as I can listening to my teams and asking them to listen to their clients . Only then can we deliver services and create a work environment that puts people and their needs first .

The second aspect is ‘ collaborative ’. One of my strategies is to surround myself with great people – specialists with different skillsets and approaches . This diversity and combined skillset makes for a powerful mix .
