increased alignment of technologies across last-mile, yard and long-haul operations, Walmart is vastly improving its fleet efficiency. As part of this, it has increased driver engagement through training, which helps with operational efficiency and routing insights. Walmart is reducing Scope 1 emissions by deploying lower-emission fuel alternatives – in California, 69 % of its heavy-duty fleet fuel use was renewable diesel in FY2026. Since 2022, the company has deployed more than 1,250 electric vehicles for last-mile operations.
