Amazon is decarbonising transportation across its organisation by implementing lower-carbon fuels and using electric vehicles. Alongside this, it is increasing fleet efficiency, taking part in initiatives to reduce emissions and working alongside policymakers. In 2025, 2.4 billion packages were delivered by electric vehicles around the world, with more than 52.7 thousand electric delivery vans deployed. Across its air fleet, Amazon sources lower-carbon SAF, as well as the deployment of SAF EACs. It co-founded the Sustainable Aviation Buyers Alliance to encourage the use of SAF and move towards net zero. Amazon has deployed electric cargo bikes, electric moped and pushcarts for its last-mile delivery services, helping navigate busy urban areas with zeroexhaust emissions.
