Tanja Dysli is Swedish global homeware giant Ikea ’ s Chief Supply Chain Officer , having joined the company in 2003 as a Supply Chain Specialist . Ikea – which was founded in 1943 by then 17-year-old Ingvar Kamprad as a sales business – has gained international fame from its affordable , sleek products that are made possible through effective supply chain management : global sourcing allows IKEA to access a larger range of products at a lower cost , while automation of processes helps to reduce costs and improve efficiency .
