EDITOR ’ S COMMENT WELL HERE WE ARE , presenting you with the fourth monthly edition of Supply Chain Digital of 2015 already . It may be April , but there are no fools in this issue . Our front cover feature showcases Walmart , the largest retailer in the world and employer of a staggering two million people across the world . You may know them as Asda , Seiyu or Best Price … but Walmart is everywhere in some shape or form and it has just recently announced the debut of its Sustainability Leaders shop , an online shopping portal on Walmart . com that helps customers identify and purchase products from suppliers that are leading in sustainability .
We also have an interesting story on how a cacophony of human rights organisations and NGO ’ s are coming together to increase standards in the palm oil supply chain , and with corporate social responsibility a big focus currently ; organisations have a vested interest in this topic .
