As Executive Vice President & Chief Global Supply Chain Officer , Wengel and her global teams have an enormous impact on the world . She has served at Johnson & Johnson for nearly 35 years , including a near 20-year stretch at its pharmaceutical company Janssen .
But it is Wengel ’ s commitment to championing the advancement of women in supply chain that makes her a truly worthy winner . She sits in the advisory board of AWESOME , the nonprofit dedicated to fostering and promoting the interests of women in supply chain leadership roles , and was awarded the organisation ’ s Legendary Leadership Award in 2014 .
Wengel also wields her influence and experience to put her beliefs into practice . Internally , she spearheads initiatives as the executive sponsor of the Johnson & Johnson Women ’ s Leadership & Inclusion ( WLI ) initiative , as well as the Johnson & Johnson Women in Science , Technology , Engineering , Math , Manufacturing and Design ( WiSTEM2D ) programme .
