Flue Gas Treatment Solutions

As reagent suppliers for some of the largest acid gas control scrubbers in North America , we have extensive experience with our products in the wide variety of FGD systems available today . However , our experience with our utility customers goes well beyond traditional scrubber systems . It was in working closely with our utility customers that Lhoist recognized the need for optimized calcium

( blue plume ) control , HCl control for MATS compliance and for primary SO 2 control . We also produce DSI reagents designed to address both acid gas control and mercury capture with a single reagent thereby saving the cost of a second system .

Water Treatment Solutions

Lhoist is a leading supplier of calcium chemistry for water treatment applications . Our reagents are used to treat a wide variety of municipal and industrial water streams in order to achieve technical and regulatory targets as well as to enhance the characteristics of any associated solid by-products . In particular , our reagents are applied in pH driven processes such as water softening and pH adjustment as well as to remove unwanted impurities and to control odors . In addition to application expertise , Lhoist has also developed new products such as a high performance 45 % concentration Ca ( OH ) 2 liquid lime that is a cost effective and safer alternative to caustic soda .
