Stephanie Rankin Smith joined The Home Depot in 2003 in Store Operations and , two decades later , is Senior Vice President of Supply Chain for the world ’ s largest home improvement specialty retailer . She gained a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology before starting at Delta Airlines in Operations , then went into Management Consulting for Ernst and Young LLP , before joining The Home Depot . As Senior Vice President of Supply Chain , she is responsible for inventory management , transportation , delivery , and supply chain analytics functions across all customer-selling channels including store , online , and pro .

Beginning as a Forwarding Apprentice in Germany in 1994 , Kerstin Strauss has been with global logistics provider Kuehne and Nagel for nearly three decades . Throughout her career at Kuehne and Nagel , she has specialised in airfreight management and is now based in Switzerland as the Vice President of Air Logistics Operations in Global Air Logistics . She gained her degree in Business Studies in 2018 through part-time studying , and she is on the board of Cargo IQ , the IATA interest group on a mission to create and implement quality standards for the worldwide air cargo industry .
