SUPPLY CHAIN TECHNOLOGY

GXO uses drones in its distribution centres, initially integrating the technology in Clayton, Indiana in 2022. It began with the DroneSentry technology from Asylon Inc, paired with the DroneDog to drive 24 / 7 security across both air and ground viewpoints.

The logistics company is still making use of this advanced technology four years later, with its ongoing integration of automation. In a partnership with Electro Dépôt, where it is supporting the retailer’ s growth strategy, GXO is helping to deploy advanced automation and digital solutions. The appliance supplier is launching a 24,000 square metre
warehouse in Port-Saint-Louis-du- Rhône, embedding advanced technology and sustainability throughout operations. This includes inventory drones, which will improve inventory accuracy and increase operational efficiency.
By integrating drones into the logistics process – particularly warehouse operations – GXO is working to create greater resilience across supply chains. For several decades, GXO has been working to help customers optimise their logistics. Due to its work with Electro Dépôt and other clients, GXO is one of the leading logistics service providers in France. supplychaindigital. com 113
