She has worked her way up to the C-suite , segueing from finance to procurement in December 2019 when she was appointed CPO . Thompson is also a founding board member of The Cooper Royall Foundation , a non-profit organisation dedicated to enriching the lives of special needs individuals and their families , and enhancing the resources available to them .

A globally recognised business leader , Wengel also leverages her experience and influence to promote the advancement of women in supply chain . Internally , she spearheads initiatives as the executive sponsor of the J & J Women ’ s Leadership & Inclusion ( WLI ) initiative , as well as the Johnson & Johnson Women in Science , Technology , Engineering , Math , Manufacturing and Design ( WiSTEM2D ) programme .
