CROWN WORLDWIDE ’ S SUSTAINABILITY APPROACH
Crown Worldwide ’ s approach to sustainability builds on almost six decades of corporate social responsibility ( CSR ) work , which has seen the company stand side-by-side with its employees , clients and the communities in which it operates .
This legacy is evolving , with a particular focus on how Crown Worldwide can reduce its environmental impact – while continuing to deliver on the social and governance agenda .
In 2023 , the organisation invested in and rolled out Normative ’ s carbon accounting platform , which collects and provides baseline data to inform the development of its net-zero strategy .
Elsewhere , a comprehensive sustainability training programme to upskill employees in sustainability was established . Staff have completed more than 2,500 hours of sustainability training and 131 staff members have been certified as carbon literate .
What ’ s more , Crown Worldwide has appointed a group ESG Director , formed a Global Sustainability Steering Committee , set up a global network of 40 carbon champions and developed a set of five sustainability priorities .
